Two More Days - Vintage With Flair 2013

Two more days till likeminded creators, designers, entrepreneurs meetup for an amazing showcase of creativity in Priddis, Alberta, Canada.  June 21st 4 -8pm and June 22nd 9 -4pm.  Each vendor brings their style and display techniques in a boutique setting  to present to the world their love of vintage, reusing, upcycyling and individuality!!  Priddis Community Hall is the perfect setting, in the pretty hamlet of Priddis, Alberta, Canada,  and has easy access from Calgary and outlying areas.   Vendor locations are both inside the hall and outdoors under the large carnival tent which allows you our  guests  to browse and  shop comfortably.   A suggestion would be to  bring some mosquito protection.  There will also be a CASH MACHINE  for your convenience inside the hall.  We encourage you to bring a small shopping cart to save trips to your vehicle and to be aware of parking with care. 

 So, whether you are  wanting to spend some quality time with a friend, sister, mother, significant other, or just because.. we welcome you to join us.  Amy our foodie on site will have again the most amazing tantalising food choices !!!   

We thank you our friends and customers who make effort through the year to support many who run small businesses either through cottage industries or storefronts.   That is why we do what we LOVE!!!

Just a reminder that we love our furry family, but there is so much going on that we aren't able to accomodate them at the sale, and please we ask that they not be left in vehicles.. thank-you.

Vintage With Flair

The Countdown is on to this year's sale in Priddis called Vintage With Flair,  and is   hosted by one of the Vintage Chicks. That would be me, Pam, along with our vendors  who are and have been busy , gathering, creating, finishing, and tweaking their pieces for their awesome Boutique like booths.  Priddis, Alberta, is a lovely hamlet and no matter what direction you are driving from you will be awed at the beauty of the area.  Priddis is a short 20  min. drive at the south end of Calgary on hwy 22x and a 1/2 km off the hwy on the south side. There will be a sign on the corner pointing you in the right direction.  Come out and support your local entrepreneurs, cottage industries, and small businesses  you will be amazed at all the fun loving and talented folks from your own backyard  of Alberta and beyond. There is a great food vendor on site our beloved Amy, that always has  the most incredible menu that will satisfy the most picky  of eaters.  So plan to spend an evening or day or both in a beautiful location, and support local talent by taking   home  one of a kind finds,  from vintage to hand created, you will NOT want to miss  it.

VINTAGE WITH FLAIR'S B'S of shopping

For those that have been to  outdoor markets like VINTAGE WITH FLAIR, you already know the drill;  Bring a friend or two-or three or four,(save on gas and spend SOME good time with friends), Be prepared to park a short distance away and wear comfortable shoes, Bring a shopping cart(saves many trips to the car), Bring your appetite (our concession foodie -Amy also  Farm Girls Food Truck makes the BEST ).  Bring $ but there will  be a cash  machine on site,(we TOTALLY UNDERSTAND) only some vendors will be prepared with debit/cc access but all welcome cash payment.   :)     And last we all love them dearly, But  please leave furry family at home(too many feet, and too hot to leave in the vehicle).

ANNOUNCING - INTERIORS TO INSPIRE - ANNIE SLOAN CHALKPAINT DEMOS

Chalkpaint is the new diy favorite and if you haven't tried it or you need some added advice,

Vintage With Flair is excited to announce that  the Calgary based shop, Interiors to Inspire,  http://interiorstoinspire.com, one of our 2013 vendors, will  be hosting 3 separate demonstration times featuring  ANNIE SLOAN  Chalkpaint.  They will be holding the first demo at 7pm  on Friday nite and  11am and 2 pm Saturday, the location is alongside their boothspace inside the Priddis Community Hall.  The demos will allow for some tips on the paint, techniques, colors and finishes. Your perfect opportunity to ask questions onsite!!  

WHAT'S YOUR STYLE

What inspires You?   Is it colour, design, texture, nature, or creative savvy?  Do you yourself enjoy to bring that inspiration to life?  Each of us has a different bent or gift as I call it on  what we are inspired by.  I myself am inspired by colour and texture.. it calls to me to see beyond sometimes the outer crust of dust, dirt and years of disregard.  That is what Vintage With Flair and our most talented vendors are made up of.  Those that see, use, create, fix, haul and showcase their "style" for YOU our friends, customers and guests.   Each Boutique type booth is thought out and brought together under one name to promote their individuality and network together.  There is still opportunity to share your individuality by applying onto the blog; above is the application.  Still a couple of spaces for unique style vendors!!

Have you been hesitating?  Not sure if you are what we are looking for in a vendor?   Are you people friendly, do you love to create out of vintage, refound, or make products that are earthy, organic in nature, local, unique, and you haven't had a venue to showcase your style?  This is your opportunity to be creative, set up a space that allows you to display your originality and style where the likeminded gather to be inspired and shop.  Our customers not only make it out despite the weather, they come to support and  take home pieces that possibly have been hauled for miles, cleaned, recreated and now wonderfully desirable!! The pieces and creations that YOU OUR AWESOME vendors bring each year !!
